Bilingual EPOS Software developed for Wales and the United Kingdom.

Bilingual EPOS Software English and Welsh

With our head office based in West Wales and an office presence in Cardiff, we are ideally positioned to support the growing number of hospitality and tourism businesses located throughout Wales. Our office based in Cheshire is conveniently located for our clients throughout the rest of the United Kingdom and provides ideal coverage for the Merseyside, Chester, and North Wales region, ensuring we have coverage across the country.

Our head office location on The Milford Haven Waterway indicates our business name and our evolution over the last 30 years which is referred to in the history of Haven Systems.

It is this heritage, and a positive growth outlook for Wales in 2022 and beyond that has influenced our software development road map.

We believe that our software is unique in the way that we develop our customer-facing applications to be bilingual in Welsh and English as standard.

In 2021 we launched Vine, our self-order app with functionality for users to, order at a table, order for click and collect or schedule a delivery. As well as being able to view high-definition menu images on their mobile device and then select and modify an order, users can choose whether to view the application in Welsh or English at any stage of the order process.

Vine allows users to complete a one-off transaction with minimal details, or users may create their own Vine account with options to save, for example, a delivery address making repeat orders a quick and easy next step.

The next phase of Vine will be released shortly. This includes the introduction of loyalty. Offering your highly valuable consumers the option to earn loyalty points and take advantage of rewards by redeeming points against, say, a free coffee. Vine Plus Loyalty displays in Welsh or English depending on the user’s preference and maybe reverted at any stage in a transaction. Our software is unique!

This year we have released our Self-Service Point of Sale. A functional kiosk designed with the consumer in mind. An integral 2D barcode scanner, thermal receipt printer and contactless payment options deliver a smooth and simple self-checkout option for semi-attended locations. The interactive touch screens display the same High-Definition images as the Vine application, giving the customer a wonderful experience. The benefits of improving customer choice, as well as reduced queuing, are proving to deliver increased spending.

The same bilingual options apply to the Self-Service kiosk whereby users can choose to display menus in Welsh or English by selecting the relevant icon at the start of the process.

With solutions for four main sectors including Education, Hospitality, Transport & Tourism, it is important that we extend our bilingual option to all consumer applications.

For the education sector, we have our Cashless Web Portal where users can top up their cashless EPOS account balance online. The website is mobile friendly and so payments can be made quickly and easily from any device. As a follow on and as another example of our development commitment, users can select Welsh or English when they access the Cashless Web Portal.

The same bilingual option applies to our Cloud Ticket platform. For any tourism operation or event that requires a fully EPOS integrated admissions and online ticket platform, we provide a complete solution with multiple configuration and payment processing options.

The key to our solution is one central cloud hosted back office. We know that one size does not fit all types of businesses. But with the different applications that we provide and the flexibility of our solution, we are the ideal partner for operations within the specific market sectors that we operate in.

When we refer to the solution, we mean that all components may be selected individually or as one complete system to provide a unique point of sale system for both face-to-face and online transactions.

Since a national action plan for a bilingual Wales was introduced in 1993, the numbers of Welsh language speakers initially stayed stable and has since increased with the growth in Welsh-medium education. Our software roadmap includes further development and new products that will follow the same path in terms of consumers’ choosing to complete a transaction in Welsh or English.

Haven Systems Limited are Pembrokeshire-based but with full UK coverage, we can provide complete EPOS till systems, on and off-site POS software training and we ensure the highest level of support is available to all our customers.
