Guests can pre-order, checkout and pay using Vine.
Wales 29th May 2020: Haven Systems Limited announce the forthcoming release of ‘Vine’, the new food and beverage self-ordering app for hospitality. The web app is designed to support social distancing measures being adopted as food and beverage operations plan their re-opening strategies in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The return from lockdown presents many challenges to all market sectors, especially tourism and hospitality. Providing a level of confidence for both staff and guests is a critical component in the return to some kind of normality.
Guests access Vine through a friendly URL making the process lightweight rather than having to download from the App Store or Google Play. The URL or QR code may be published online and on-premise so that users can quickly and easily access your menu, select products, checkout and pay for their order with the minimum of fuss. Once the order is received, there are a number of ways that the order can be served to the guest. A collection point or more likely, multiple collection points can be set so the order is essential to click and collect. Alternatively, a safe delivery process may be adopted so that staff can serve pre-ordered food to the corresponding table or location. Visitors may prefer to save a link to the app on their home screens, if not, they close the link and are not weighed down with another full app.
Vine is a smooth and effective new element of the Haven Systems software suite and is fully integrated with EPOS back office. Taking advantage of the existing HavenPay platform means that transaction charges will be set at a competitive rate. It’s a simple upgrade process for existing clients and straightforward onboarding for new users who want to adopt new measures on re-opening.
Following very shortly is the ability to include a delivery address making the app ideal for all types of takeaway operations.
